From South Asia, long famous for its innovative, luxury hotels, we feature the latest spa, a hotel, and even a luxury motor yacht.

The Club at The Saujana

Tucked away in lush tropical gardens, Kuala Lumpur, The Club at The Saujana is a boutique resort which includes the acclaimed Saujana Golf and Country Club, designed by Ronald Fream, comprising two 18-hole championship golf courses. The Spa, opened in November 2009, offers a variety of relaxing treatments using Med Beauty natural products. An adjacent 39m swimming pool in the gardens overlooks the golf driving range.

Shangri-La, Tokyo & Philippines

Opened earlier in 2009, Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, occupies the top 11 floors of Marunouchi Trust Tower Main, is adjacent to Tokyo Station, and offers views of Marunouchi to the east and Tokyo Bay to the west. Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa, Philippines, located in the northern part of Boracay Island, opened on the same day as the Tokyo property. Spacious guestrooms and villas are furnished with ethnic Filipino decor and native materials. Both hotels feature CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, the group’s own award-winning spa developed from ancient Chinese and Himalayan healing therapies.

Ananatara Phuket Resort & Spa, Thailand

Anantara recently launched The Minor Affair, a Sunseeker Manhattan 60 cruiser, for personalised cruising for up to eight guests. Seek out unique diving locations around Thailand’s Similan islands or Burma Banks, or simply cruise between the Anantara Si Kao and Anantara Phuket, stopping off to fish, dive, or explore the exotic islands along the way.

Aqueen Hotel Lavender, Singapore

Located in one of Singapore’s more lively areas, this comfortably appointed hotel opened in November 2009 to suitably quiet acclaim. It is only a short stroll from the colourful sounds, sights, and spices of Little India, round-the-clock shopping at Mustafa Centre, and the soon-to-be opened eco-friendly City Square Mall.

Your castle is your home

Châteaux and castles, from across mainland Europe, and an island of your own.

castle Schwalenberg

Converted 13th century castle, now a 15-room hotel, enjoys panoramic views from the restaurant looking out to the distant Teutoburg Forest.

Castello di Casole

On 4,200 acres of rolling estate of the Castello Di Casole, one of the largest private land holdings in Tuscany, are a selection of Casale farmhouses, organised around a series of glass-tiled, infinity-edge pools and hand-set stone patios warmed by original forno a legna (wood burning ovens). Full or partial ownership opportunities are available.

Guglielmi Castle

A spectacular property on the olive tree-covered island of Isola Maggiore on Lake Trasimeno in Umbria. Built in the 1800s on the grounds of a 14th century Franciscan Monastery, Guglielmi Castle is reachable by boat from the Port of Tuoro sul Trasimeno.
The castle is available for US$19m; or US$33.4m renovated to 5-star standard.

Le Château de Bazaneix (Castle of Bazaneix)

Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, this granite building in Saint-Frejoux stands in the centre of a vast esplanade surrounded by a moat. Feudal in appearance, it comprises two rectangular units flanked by three round towers. Awarded the ‘Vieilles Maisons Françaises’ grand prix and the Historic Dwelling ‘Belle demeure’ Award.

castle lyon beaujolais

A stone’s throw from the prestigious skiing of Monts d’Or, in the heart of unspoilt, undulating Rhône valley, this habited castle is a wonderful example of 17th and 18th century architecture. The yellow stone rectangular building is flanked by three round towers and spans three stories and approximately 7,750 sq ft of living space.
