Spring is in the air, and so is the scent of flowers and summery citrus. These five fragrances either evoke sweet spring breezes with their array of botanicals or are ‘summer in a bottle’ with popular fragrance notes such as ‘water’ and ‘solar’ and pops of citrus and fresh fruits.
Jo Malone Nashi Blossom
Launching this month, the latest scent from this fine London-based perfumery features juicy notes of pear, apple, and citrus all topped with the scent of the nashi blossom, the precursor to the succulent summer fruit.
Tory Burch Jolie Fleur
For her latest olfactory adventure, Tory Burch drew from her own garden and personality to create a trio of fragrances. Pink and feminine, Rose features notes of its namesake flower. A self-confessed tomboy, Burch chose to represent that element of her personality with Verte, a fragrance featuring lily of the valley. Finally, tuberose features strongly in Bleue, which embodies the elegant and understated element of Burch’s personality.
Tom Ford Soleil Blanc
With the unmistakable scents of summer, including coconut (which will instantly bring to mind that particular suntan lotion smell), solar fragrance notes, and a hint of jasmine wrapped in a woody amber, this latest addition to Ford’s Private Blend collection is definitely the scent for Summer 2016, for both men and women.
Estée Lauder Pleasures Aqua, Limited Edition
For a new twist on its adored flowery fragrance, the American cosmetics house chose to infuse Pleasures with a touch of what it describes as ‘crisp ocean air’. This water accord combines with the scent’s signature freesia and honeysuckle top notes to remind you of a seaside garden.
