What to eat this summer
Along with being one of the most fun seasons of the year for outdoor activity, summer can also be one of the most dangerous for the body, due to exhaustion, dehydration, and sun damage. It is often said that you are what you eat, so this summer, make these summer superfoods (and drinks) a mainstay in your kitchen.
Fighting the summer frizz
Frizz isn’t fun, and the summer inevitably brings out untamed locks and those annoying fly-aways that can’t be calmed. The first step to combating any problem is understanding what causes it, and in the case of frizz it’s all about the hair cuticle and moisture. When hair is dry, its cuticle, which is shaped somewhat like a shingled roof, will puff up (the shingles will lift) to soak up any moisture from humid air.
