klapsons, The Boutique Hotel, Singapore
Written by Oryx
From the moment you walk into klapsons, The Boutique Hotel, in Singapore’s Central Business District, you are met with its bold, distinctive design details, bringing a bright, playful aesthetic to five-star luxury.
Greeting guests upon entry to klapsons is a huge stainless steel circular pod that houses the reception and check-in desk. Overhead, the three-tiered ceiling illuminates the hotel lobby with a constantly evolving LED-light display. Around the lobby, guests can lounge on a Moraine sofa by Zaha Hadid or one of the other bold furniture pieces by the hotel’s interior designers Sawaya & Moroni.
Each of the 17 guestrooms is individually characterised with a different contemporary design so that no two rooms are alike. Furnishings, designed by Sawaya & Moroni, include the klapson’s coffee table, a round lime-coloured plexi table that the duo designed especially for the hotel.
In the bathrooms, expect anything from a shell-shaped or cylindrical-styled shower, to an open-cube rain shower flanked with full-length mirrors and colour-changing LED lights – all with Chopard bath amenities.
Dining options include The Sleeping Rhino, for wholesome casual dining, while Fabrika, the hotel’s al fresco sky-terrace bar on level 17, offers sunset cocktails, bar nibbles, and chilled-out beats.
