La Cigale Hotelhas unveiled a mouthwatering event at its restaurant Di Capri called ‘Thursdays All’Italiana’. Chef Hichem Khelil spent five years in Italy learning the authentic cuisine, and every Thursday until February 14 he will put on a live cooking show with his assistants, featuring a variety of home-made pastas and Di Capri specialities such as ravioli, ricotta and spinach, and agnolotti chicken. The event is the first of a series of new themed nights at La Cigale.

Five Hundredis a new fine-dining restaurant at the Saxon Boutique Hotel, complete with private entrance and 90-degree window views over Johannesburg and the Saxon’s beautifully crafted gardens. Executive chef David Higgs and his elite team have created a range of sumptuous signature dishes, introducing a whole new culinary culture to the hotel. The new restaurant, which accommodates a maximum of 30 guests, is set up for an interactive experience with an open kitchen format.
The Quin Hotel
The former Buckingham Hotel, once home to musical icons like Paderewski and Tebaldi, has been renamed the Quin and re-imagined as a new luxury hotel with a history intertwined with an entire era of world-class music. Located near the city’s cultural landmarks, such as Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center, the Quin’s 200 rooms include 11 junior suites, 10 one-bedroom suites, and speciality suites including the Ignacy Paderewski Suite and the Georgia O’Keefe Suite.
