Newly restored, The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal, now has 98 guest rooms and 31 suites. Originally opened in 1912, the hotel mixes old with new; marble fireplaces in many suites are original, but the guest rooms feature high-tech amenities, such as intuitively remembering a guest’s temperature preferences upon check-in, and motion sensors that activate lights to guide guests in a darkened room. The Royal Suite, at 436 sqm, is the largest hotel suite in Montreal.
Castello di Casole, Florence

With 41 private suites in a range of sizes and styles, each combines Old World Tuscan charm with modern boutique luxury, elegance, and sophistication.
