Along Sofia’s yellow, cobblestoned main boulevard Tzar Osvoboditel lies Sense Hotel Sofia. The 71 rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views stretching well beyond the neighbouring National Assembly and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Guests can relax in the lobby lounge or in the panoramic rooftop bar with breathtaking views over the city. The restaurant serves Mediterranean fusion cuisine, with an open-air terrace for the summer months.

Lake Como

On the shores of Lake Como, Casa sull’Albero’s 12-loft suites feature walls of transparent glass, boasting mountain and lake scenery. The spa features specially designed music and fragrance concepts to accompany indoor and outdoor treatments. The hotel also features an outdoor saltwater pool and a library stocked with books on art and photography. Set in the tiny lakeside village of Malgrate, the hotel is just across the water from the restaurants and bars of Lecco.

Beagleis set within three renovated railway arches in Shoreditch, housing a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. The venue also boasts a large south-facing outdoor seating area for up to 60 people. Chef James Ferguson delivers seasonal, produce-led British cooking, with menus changing on a daily basis. Using a traditional wood grill for much of his cooking, sample dishes include whole wild sea bass with samphire and cucumber, and custard tart with poached rhubarb.

Hong Kong

Named after the fabled book of travels by Marco Polo, Il Milione Bar & Ristorante Italiano brings a taste of Italy to Hong Kong. The restaurant is the first in Asia for Michelin-starred Umbrian chef Marco Gubbiotti. At Il Milione, he promotes the slow-food movement, not only selecting to work with small, natural producers in Italy, but slowly cooking the ingredients to keep the original taste and fresh flavours of the food.

New York

The brand new Hyatt Union Square New York offers 178 urban-style guestrooms and suites ranging from loft-style studios with or without outdoor terraces, to two distinct presidential suites – The Sanctuary on the second floor and The Empyreal Suite on the 11th floor. The hotel features new dining and bar concepts by local restaurateurs. Signature restaurant The Fourth is an all-day American brasserie that serves traditional brasserie fare with a modern-American interpretation.
