Le Pavillon des Lettres
Wander through the alphabet at boutique hotel Le Pavillon des Lettres, opening on November 10. Each of its 26 rooms is devoted to a letter of the alphabet and a prominent writer corresponding to that letter. Shakespeare, Tolstoy, and Woolf are among the authors who feature on the walls of the classic Haussmann townhouse in the 8th arrondissement. Gramercy Park Hotel
Recently transformed by Oscar-nominated writer- director and artist Julian Schnabel, the Gramercy Park Hotel offers a twist on the formal grand hotel with its distinctive and eclectic spaces. Antiques, flea market finds, and bespoke pieces including Moroccan tiles, hand-woven rugs, and a custom Venetian glass chandelier, sit against a Renaissance-inspired colour palette, while the hotel’s art collection includes works from acclaimed artists.
Head to Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa and follow your nose to its new restaurant, Figus, run by world-renowned celebrity chef Nino Figus. Experience authentic Sardinian cuisine, expertly prepared by Chef Figus himself, who has transformed traditional recipes into fine dining at its highest level. Each dish is prepared using only the finest ingredients sourced from carefully selected local farmers in Sardinia.
With a treatment menu that reflects the freshness and energy of the Balinese spa spirit, Chavana Spa has opened at the Adaaran Select Meedhupparu Resort and the Adaaran Club Rannalhi Resort in the Maldives. Aloft London ExCel
Set to open on November 15, Aloft London ExCel is located on the regenerated Royal Victoria Dock, with easy access to the Olympic district and cultural East End. Stylish, spacious rooms feature high ceilings, big windows, and a platform bed, 42-inch TV and docking station, and a walk-in rain shower in the bathroom. Downstairs there’s a lounge, an outdoor terrace with oversized daybeds, a cocktail bar with live DJs, plus a pool and gym.
