From its enviable Mayfair location, Banca is set to become one of London’s most glamorous Italian restaurants. Banca’s menu celebrates Northern Italian dishes using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, expertly cooked by Executive Chef Marzio Zacchi and Head Chef Gabriele Milani. Located in a former bank, designers TP Bennett have capitalised on the building’s heritage by retaining functioning safe deposit boxes situated next to the bar area, and the original vault door in the private dining room.
Four Seasons Hotel Pudong
Centrally located in Pudong’s Lujiazui business district, the hotel occupies the new 55-storey 21st Century Tower and features 187 guestrooms, including 15 suites. Camelia offers French and Japanese cuisine, and Shàng-xí, showcases contemporary Shanghainese, and Cantonese cuisine. The 24-hour fitness centre includes a brine inhalation room in the men’s area, and a tepidarium room in the women’s area; whilst the 18m indoor lap pool on the 41st floor offers skyline views.
The first boutique hotel in Doha that donates 100% of its profit to charity and other important causes, K108 hotel offers 108 spacious rooms and suites at just US$108 per night. The hotel restaurant, Yum Yum, is run by Hugo Coudurier who was previously the chef in the world-renowned French restaurant Guy Savoy, Paris and its Las Vegas sister restaurant, both Michelin-star restaurants. The menu changes every few days, and offers fine dining at an affordable price: starters are around 20 QAR and mains around 60 QAR.
One of London’s original Victorian boutique hotels, The Ampersand Hotel was built in 1888 and features a beautiful, classic Victorian façade. The hotel’s newly refurbished interiors are inspired by the surrounding world-famous museum district, through the themes of botany, music, geometry, ornithology, and astronomy. With 111 rooms and suites, the property also boasts a vaulted cocktail bar serving food, a patisserie, a gym, and a display of curiosities from around the world.
Hotel BPM, named after the pace count of a song, ‘beats per minute’, was launched last month by hip-hop deejay DJ BIJAL. The new hotel brings the two worlds of music and hospitality together in the heart of Brooklyn, with a DJ BIJAL-selected soundtrack streaming throughout its public areas. The boutique-style property offers 76 guestrooms, each equipped with 40-inch HD TVs, personal Keurig coffeemakers, and bathrooms featuring Porcelanosa marble rainfall showers.
