The first high-end hotel in London’s Tech City offers a touch of modern luxury to your stay.

With its striking architecture, M by Montcalm’s unusual angles and asymmetric windows will catch your eye as you approach. Located in Shoreditch, London’s Tech City, the hotel is set amidst a hub of technology start-ups, creatives, and entrepreneurs.

In keeping with its high-tech surroundings, the 269 stylish rooms and suites feature touchscreen tablets to easily control the lights, curtains, sound, and temperature, and to order room service. The in-room aroma and lighting can be adapted to your mood, and guests in the Club and Suite rooms can make use of the hotel’s bath butler and sleep concierge for a relaxing stay.

The hotel’s two restaurants are both headed up by renowned chefs from Michelin-starred kitchens, but with very different offerings. Tonic & Remedy is the casual and trendy restaurant spread over the ground and mezzanine floors with floor-to-ceiling windows. Taking inspiration from the area’s apothecary heritage, the menu places an emphasis on using herbs and spices with an evolving seasonal menu, featuring a mix of nostalgic favourites along with some future classics. Up on the top floor, Urban Coterie offers a more refined dining experience with a view.

Meanwhile, below the buzz of the ground floor, M Spa is a quiet urban sanctuary offering a place to unwind with Ila and Natura Bissé therapies, a Versace-tiled swimming pool with steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, and relaxation room, as well as a gym – equipped with the latest in technology, naturally.

The restaurant is currently serving winter favourites such as grilled beef with ceps and Jerusalem artichoke; and Cornish cod with fregola, seaweed, and turnip.
