What’s in my travel bag: Michael Kors
Written by Ayesha Khan
Founder and Chief Creative Officer of one of fashion’s most wildly successful labels, Michael Kors almost didn’t make it to his current billionaire status – he went bankrupt in 1993. He was quick to make a comeback and even land the prestigious role of ready-to-wear designer for Céline, bringing the French label back to the forefront of fashion. This month marks the opening of Lagoona Mall’s 290m2 Michael Kors lifestyle store
“Last year during the holidays we went to South East Asia: Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. We really took our time and explored the area, and loved it. The change of perspective from city to city was amazing. One day we were sitting in traffic, and the next we were riding elephants in Thailand. As for my favourite destination, I like to go to Capri in the autumn and spring – it’s a bit emptier but the weather is still amazing.”
Michael Kors crocodile duffle – although I did just buy a Berluti suitcase – but it’s so nice, I don’t even want to use it!
Aviators – they’re a godsend after overnight flights.
Crème de la Mer The Lip Balm
Beats by Dre headphones – sometimes you just want to sit back and relax.
The most recent tabloids – they’re the best kind of guilty pleasure.
A black cashmere sweater – it’s one of those pieces that goes everywhere.
