Promising to combine ‘traditional British hospitality with an American bohemian attitude’, Belgraves’ guestrooms offer king-size beds, with Sferra linens, white and grey marble bathrooms, toiletries from Penhaligon’s, and an LCD flat-screen TV. The hotel also has a library bar, a fitness centre, and HIX Belgravia Restaurant. Designed by British designer Tara Bernerd, as is the rest of the hotel, the 80-seat restaurant is run by chef and food writer Mark Hix.
Mövenpick Beach Resort Al Khobar
Just 45 minutes from Dammam International Airport, the five-star Mövenpick Beach Resort Al Khobar offers 36 three-bedroom duplex villas – including two Royal Villas – two restaurants, free-form swimming pool, and private beach. The Azure restaurant offers contemporary gourmet seafood in a Mediterranean-style lounge atmosphere with views of the resort’s private marina. The Retreat Wellness Center & Spa features European beauty treatments, sauna, steam rooms, and a fitness area.
Called ‘Hotel 718’ after Brooklyn’s area code, the hotel has 128 guestrooms, including four oversized suites. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, and a rooftop sundeck, the hotel offers spa services, a cardio-fitness room, original works of art hung throughout, and 24-hour Brooklyn-centric concierge services. Top Chef winner Harold Dieterle and his business partner Alicia Nosenzo have opened the 80-seat signature restaurant The Marrow at the hotel.
Hyatt Capital Gate
When standing at the outer edge of a Hyatt Capital Gate guestroom, guests cannot actually see the ground below them, making them feel as if the hotel room is floating in mid-air. Each guestroom is unique with its own configuration and size giving guests the experience of occupying a ‘new’ room each time they stay. Rayana Spa, Abu Dhabi’s only ‘sky spa’, is perched on the 19th floor of the hotel, and features unsurpassed views of the city.
In the heart of the city, this hotel is just steps away from the landmark Garnier Opéra House. With 91 guestrooms, including 22 suites, the W Paris has a boutique hotel feel. There is a backlit digital wall, weaving through the public and private spaces of the hotel, which can be set at various tempos depending on the season, event, time of day, and even the location within the hotel.
