Qatar Airways Holidays - March
Written by Oryx
Oryx presents its insider’s tips for places to visit in March. Explore Jordan’s ancient heritage and stunning landscapes, relax in Jamaica’s tropical paradise, and experience Pattaya’s rich culture.
One of the best times to visit Jordan is in spring. In March, temperatures are warm but not uncomfortably hot, wildflowers are in full bloom, the hills and valleys are lush and colourful, and the sun sitting low in the sky creates a kaleidoscope of colours on the desert rocks. The capital Amman is a fascinating city of contrasts, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. Some 250km south is the UNESCO Heritage Site of Petra, a unique ancient city carved into the dusky pink rock face by the Nabataeans.

Jamaica has a tropical climate with little seasonal variation in humidity and temperature. However, March is one of the driest months, making it the ideal time to enjoy the white sandy beaches, dive in the crystal-clear waters, or get back to nature by hiking in the rainforests and the Blue Mountains.
March is one of the best months to visit Pattaya, with average temperatures of 31°C and fewer crowds than the preceding peak months. Visit the Four Regions Floating Market with its water vendors selling Thai specialities, and explore the many famous gardens at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Cultural Village.
