Looking for some summer loving? We reckon these great cities of Europe are just the place to be for a good dose of romance, style, and sophistication this July, when sultry days and balmy evenings bring out the best of city life.

Paris is the most visited city on Earth, and everyone has an image in their minds of the French capital: a bastion of culture, sophisticated shopping, and romance. The city is all that, but this is also a town
of neighbourhoods where ordinary people go about their business, full of the flavours of French daily life. Highlights of the summer are the national holiday Bastille Day on July 14, and the finish of the Tour de France cycle race – both spectaculars held along the Champs-Elysees. More romantic, no doubt, is a stroll а deux through Saint-Germain’s summer fair, an outdoor movie at the Parc de la Villette, or a day lazing at Paris Plage, an artificial beach set up along the banks of the Seine. And who could resist
a kiss on the Eiffel Tower?

Too many reasons to count: the romantic charms of the ‘City of Love’ never fade.

Paris lies on the River Seine in the central north of France.

Qatar Airways flies twice daily from Doha to Paris.

Full of imperial glamour, baroque glory, music, and statues, Vienna is
an enchanting city.
In summer, the best of street culture emerges with the fine weather: start with an outdoor screening of opera in front of the majestic town hall. Café terraces are just the place to people-watch as you tuck into cream cake. Inside, the city’s coffee houses come with marble-topped tables, brass fittings, chandeliers, and the occasional quartet tootling some Kleine Nachtmusik. Parks and gardens burst with summer flowers: don’t miss the grounds of Schönbrunn. Formally laid-out promenades radiate from this palace. On the outskirts of the city, the Vienna Woods tempt ramblers and, on balmy evenings, with a night under the stars at a traditional wine cellar.

Enjoy parks, pastries, a dazzling musical heritage, and impressive historical legacy in this former imperial capital.

Vienna lies in northeastern Austria near the Hungarian and Slovakian borders.

Great cathedral domes and a baroque fantasy of turrets and towers: Rome unfolds its splendour at every turn. Stun-ning art and millennia-long history are complemented by a terrific dose of daily life. Restaurants and shops ooze Ital-ian style, and kids slurp ice creams in Renaissance piazzas. Summer also sees evenings of open-air opera and ballet against a spectacular ancient backdrop.

When it comes to romantic destinations, what better than the seductive dolce vita, Roman style?

Located in the central west of Italy, all roads proverbially lead to Rome.
