spa - Six Senses Spa, Con Dao, Vietnam
Written by Nathalie Carby
Just a quick flight south of Ho Chi Minh City, a spa experience bar none awaits.
Anchored along the bottle-green waters of the South China Sea lies Con Dao, an archipelago off Vietnam’s southeastern coast. Located in a protected Marine Nature Reserve, Six Senses Con Dao is a welcome sanctuary for Hawksbill turtles and bon vivants alike.
Built against the dramatic canvas of the Lo Voi Mountains, Six Senses Spa is a place where daily plans, like the planets, revolve around the sun. Indulgence greets and pampers each guest of the spa under a gentle breeze of jasmine and sea-scented palms. The Spa offers four indoor treatment rooms designed in untreated natural woods, organic fabrics, and bamboo flourishes; one Thai therapy room and three outdoor treatment salas add to the relaxed charm of the environment. Experience a signature treatment, such as the Oriental Massage, under a denim-hued sky, and enjoy the blend of strong forearm-powered strokes with skilled acupressure along your meridians. Or unwind with a four-hand traditional Vietnamese herbal massage amidst marbled-patterned butterflies: just one of the many denizens of this remote island. In line with the Six Senses philosophy, all products and treatments are Mother Nature-approved, and eco-friendly. Contact

It's to dive for!![]() Diving in Con Dao is extraordinary. Explore clean, smooth sandbanks and a colourful marine life. Follow clownfish around tubes of coral, or spot dolphins threading their way along the hem of the azure seas. Con Dao boasts more than 20 dive sites, from simple novice dives to challenging offshore drifts and deep dives. It’s the only location in the country where you can see pelagics, turtles, sharks, rays, and the indigenous dugong: the strange creature fondly known as ‘sea cow’ and mistaken for a ‘mermaid’ by ancient mariners. |
