What’s in my travel bag - Paula Ferber
Written by Oryx
Fashion designer and Brazilian native Paula Ferber started her relationship with the fashion world when she was working as a model in Brazil, Greece, and Japan.
After completing studies at the renowned institute of higher learning Fundaço Getúlio Vargas, Paula Ferber chose to work in large fashion companies, more specifically the shoes and accessories market. Since then, she has become an internationally renowned fashion name with her own brand of shoes.
Travel - “Its always difficult for me to choose my favourite out of all the places that I have travelled to, but I have a strong relationship with a Bahian coastal city called Trancoso. There was where my brand began, and I believe that this special place defined the DNA of the brand. At Trancoso I am connected to nature.”
The Bag - “I am completely passionate about handbags, and one of my hobbies when I travel is to find some of them. I research absolutely everything and select my favourite one. I don’t like obvious logos, and I choose fine materials: vegetable leathers and fittings of good quality. I prefer the soft and organic bags that are better suited to the body. Usually my favourite brands are Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Lanvin, and Prada.”
The Contents - “I always combine comfort with elegance, so in my luggage I always have several black or neutral-coloured Cocoon leggings, comfortable tops with leather details, and an unstructured blazer. I take with me versatile and comfortable shoes from my own line Villa, which is entirely made of neoprene. For special occasions, a pair of scarpin-style shoes, and of course good Oliver Peoples Tops sunglasses are essential.”
