What’s in my travel bag - Tory Burch
Written by Oryx
Pennsylvania-born fashion designer and philanthropist Tory Burch entered Forbes magazine’s billionaires list in 2013. She is best known for her preppy ‘Boho’ style and Reva ballerina flat, with its distinct double T emblem.
One of my most memorable vacations was to Myanmar with my three boys. It was one of those beautiful, magical places I had read about and always wanted to visit – for its crafts, architecture, and the unique mix of cultural influences. Every place we stayed – from Yangon, the country’s largest city, to beach resorts Ngapali and Ngwe Saung – was incredible.
Morocco is also a great source of inspiration for our collections. I have visited several times, most recently with my mother, and there is always more to explore. Each time I visit I discover something new, from beautiful shops to architecture to winding streets.
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez is one of my favourite books of all time.
“Our Vienna handbag is a great size for travelling. I also love the way it looks – the feminine floral jacquard print balances the doctor’s satchel shape.”
Evian mineral-water spray is refreshing and hydrating on long flights.
I love Smythson travel diaries. They also have smaller notebooks with clever sayings on their pages – great gifts.
My Apple iPod is essential. I add a few playlists before I leave for a trip.
A Tory Burch printed scarf is an easy, chic layering piece whether you are on the plane or have arrived at your destination.
Balenciaga’s motorcycle boots are my favourite for travel.
I love Bose noise-cancelling headphones to listen to music on the plane.
