New year makeover: make it your resolution to add a bit of polish to your grooming regime in 2013 with these premium favourites.
Wrinkles, visible pores and uneven skintone are top of most people’s list of skin concerns. Lancôme’s super-serum, Visionnaire, was created to show there’s no need to resort to cosmetic procedures to get a visibly improved complexion. It aims to tackle the most common skin complaints, with results in as little as four weeks – and Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is also said to be a fan.
Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb
Featuring notes of bergamot, pink pepper, cinnamon, vetiver, red pepper and tobacco, Spicebomb from Amsterdam-based design duo, Viktor and Rolf makes for a woody and powerful statement-scent. Famed for their iconoclastic, concept-led designs, this drive translates into the grenade-shaped bottle that Spicebomb shares with its female counterpart, Flowerbomb.
Armani code ultimate
Hot on the heels of the best-selling male fragrance Armani Code, is Armani Code Ultimate. Infused with grapefruit and mandarin notes as well as aromatic star anise, cedar, cypress woods and amber, it’s a more seductive and intense version of the original. The bottle features the classic styling of the ‘Code’ family, this time with the subtle addition of a pale gold cap.
Copying the gene profile of young skin, Lancôme has developed Génifique Youth Activator Serum to combat the effects of aging. The result of ten years’ research and the subject of seven patents, it promotes smoother and more supple skin by increasing the rate at which skin renews itself. The effects can be seen in a matter of hours but are increased further with regular use.
Yves Saint Laurent Manifesto
The spirit of audacity embodies YSL’s Manifesto fragrance, with Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain lending her star power as brand spokeswoman. Possessing hints
of jasmine and Tonka bean, the fragrance was created as an uplifting statement of individuality and independence as well as a celebration of femininity.
Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara
Ask most women what cosmetic product they can’t live without and the answer will usually be the same: mascara. Nothing beats it for sheer eye-opening high-glamour.
The latest addition to the Lancôme family is Hypnôse Star. Inspired by 1930s screen legends, the wand has a patent-pending construction and distributes just the right amount of product to let you create attention-grabbing ‘cinema eyes’
