Louis Vuitton, Paul Smith, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo.

Louis Vuitton

Named for the Greek god of the winds, the Eole is available in two sizes, 50 and 60.  The ideal cabin size is the 50, which allows enough room for a laptop, weekend clothes, and all your travel essentials. It can be worn cross-body, held as a top-handle or wheeled, and is surprisingly lightweight.

Part of the Villa collection, the Lucca City Tote features a laptop sleeve and organiser pockets as well as lock closure for added security. It is available in a host of attractive colours from tangerine (ideal for autumn) to indigo. Basic black and grey are also available for the less adventurous.

Paul Smith

For Autumn/Winter 2013, the ingenious British designer decided to photograph his signature MINI at Langar Hall in the evening, and emblazon his bags and accessories with the resulting image. The flight bag is a roomy laptop bag with a padded pocket, and the holdall does just that – holds all!
Holdall US$610, Flight Bag US$460

This handy calf-leather and wool travel bag is perfect for the journey home when you’ve purchased a few too many gifts and souvenirs. The bag folds into a pouch with the signature Versace Greek Key pattern that unfolds to become the sturdy bottom of the bag. Although it’s designed as a men’s bag, there is no reason the ladies can’t sport it as well.

This nylon travel tote, part of the DKNY 2013 resort collection, is comparable to the ubiquitous Longchamp variety, except it features a decorative tassel detail and a very handy iPad pocket. It is also extremely lightweight.

Salvatore Ferragamo

This taupe leather carry-all is of course ideal for a laptop, but also has plenty of space for other travel essentials. Taupe is on trend for the men’s autumn/winter collections and the promise of true Italian craftsmanship comes with every Ferragamo bag.

Proenza Schouler

The PS1 bag is the New York duo’s signature bag, and comes in various sizes. The best feature of this bag is its ample pockets, which are easy to get into for quick travel-document stashing. The bag comes in a variety of colours such as the versatile midnight blue featured here.
